Marie Ferraiuolo Lackey, 87, of 264 Tadpole Lane, Taylorsville, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 at her home after an extended illness. She was born September 25, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Pasquale Ferraiuolo and Catherine Pelosa Ferraiuolo. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Lackey; one daughter Linda Lackey; two brothers, Anthony Ferraiuolo and Ernie Ferraiuolo; one sister, Catherine Lane.

She is survived by four daughters, Janet Lisi and husband Joseph and Marilyn Santangelo and husband Gary both of Taylorsville, Carolyn Trilli and husband Gary of Hiddenite, Barbara Heid of Houston, Texas; one brother, James Ferraiuolo of NY; three sisters, Anne Ferriola and Gloria DeLisi both of NY; Violet Lulling of NJ; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted 6:00pm Friday May 29, 2009 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Rev. Brian Eades will be officiating.
