Johnny Ray Coffey age 48 of 70 Old Davis Road, Moravian Falls, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2009 in Harland County, KY as a result of an automobile accident. He was born September 16, 1960 in Watauga County, to Ann Christie Coffey of Moravian Falls and the late Jerry Guy Coffey. He was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two step children, Beth Ann Conklin and Jason Lee Conklin.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Sue Coffey of Stony Point; one son, Jerry Guy Coffey of Stony Point; two step sons, Steven Conklin of Bethlehem and Roger Conklin of Taylorsville; three daughters, Christina White of Franklin, Va., Misty Wike of Moravian Falls, Lori Coffey of Taylorsville; one step daughter, Crystal Conklin of Stony Point; one sister, Glenda Coffey Campbell of Statesville; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday May 30, 2009 at Boones Fork Community Cemetery in Boone, NC. Rev. Garland McDaniels will be officiating. The family will receive friends Friday 7:00-9:00pm May 29, 2009 at Chapman Funeral Home.
