Kent Henry Abbes, 64, of 136 Deer Haven Drive, Statesville, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at Home. He was born on December 6, 1943, in King County, NY to the late Henry and Evelyn Abbes of Queens, NY.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, a loyal friend and a hard working and faithful minister.

 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Gianino Abbes of the home; one son, Scott Abbes and wife Jennifer of Benton, TN; one daughter Christi Morales and husband George of Mocksville; two granddaughters, Rachel Morales and Danielle Eudy and husband Jason; two brothers, Bruce Abbes and Doug Abbes; one sister, Lynn Abbes.

 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 4:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 318 James Farm Rd, Statesville, NC 28625
